I have wanted to use a different gauge of string on mine but it had been suggested that I stay with the lights (no truss rod).I want to move up to mediums.seeing as how your poly has been retro-fitted with a truss rod gives me ideas.... Emmett sent me a new Stickup last year as the original one's case had been cracked (a horrible mishandling of the cable),glued back together,cracked agan,then finally replaced.You are right! The new Stickups sound amazing. Emmett had also sent me a set of the new Smokey Grey tuners that look rather pleasant against the black poly headstock.
